This club was created in January of 2011, and now, we're online!
Let's face it, we have noticed a major difference in this generation. As the church's ministry is becoming less and less effective, the evils of our culture are becoming more and more prevelant. Within the last century:
Bible Reading and Prayer have been banned from public schools.
The Ten Commandments banned from many US courtrooms.
Atheism promoted through public school cirriculum, television, and many other forms of media.
Social evils such as abortion and gay marrige becoming more prevelant in culture than ever before.
Darwinian evolution taught in public schools as fact.
What has happened?!! Shouldn't God's people take a stand for the Truth?!!
What has plagued the church in this generation?
One word: doubt. Doubt in God's Word, the Bible. Though most born-again Christians claim to hold the Bible as ultimate authority and inspired by God, when you look deeper, you may see that they have compromised on many of the Bible's clear teachings. When did this begin?
In Genesis 3, the Bible tells us that God told Adam and Eve that they could eat of any tree in the Garden of Eden, except from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Genesis 3:1-4 says;
"Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’” Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”"
Satan's trick of getting people to doubt what God has said started at the very beginning!
"Did God really mean what he said?" The Devil has whispered these words in the ears of men all through history, planting the seeds of doubt, which will eventually produce their evil fruits in future generations.
Anyone who has worked with building knows that a strong structure requires a firm foundation.
1 Corinthians 3:11 says;
"For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ."
The entire Christian faith is based on Jesus Christ, but lets look deeper. Jesus Christ is the promised Messiah who would come and save all mankind from their sins, but when was this promise of God made? God says to the Serpent in Genesis 3:15, after the Fall;
"And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed (Jesus Christ);
He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel.”"
Death - Genesis 3
Clothing 3:21
Marriage - Genesis 2:24
Languages & Cultures - Genesis 10
No wonder why the Devil has made such an effort to destroy faith in the book! He knows that if you destroy faith in Genesis, just as destroying the foundation of a building, faith in the Bible will all come crashing down later. Psalm 11:3 writes; "If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?"
I think it is worthy to call Genesis the foundation for the rest of the Bible! If you look at the New Testament, there are over 100 references to Genesis, many of which Jesus said!
For instance in Mark 10 when speaking on marriage and divorce, Jesus says;
"And Jesus answered and said to them, “Because of the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. But from the beginning of the creation, God ‘made them male and female.’‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”" Beyond the fact that Jesus is quoting Genesis 1:27 and 2:24, notice how Jesus said;
"But from the beginning of the creation, God ‘made them male and female.’"
This means that God created man at the beginning of creation, not millions of years afterwards!
Also, in the parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus, He says in Luke 16:13;
"But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’”" By "Moses" He is refering to the Pentateuch, the first Five Books of the Bible, and the first of these is Genesis!
Within the last two centuries we have seen many attacks on the Bible, and Christianity as a whole, but most of the attacks are aimed at Genesis and the Creation account. When Jesus Christ Himself is attacked, the Church is up in-arms ready to defend the Cross, but why are only a few people working to defend the Bible's foundation, Genesis? Most Christians view the Creation/Young-Earth vs. Evolution/Old-Earth debate as a side issue, but as we are seeing more and more, children and adults alike are being endoctricated in a firm belief in evolution, as evolutionists are pushing harder than ever for evolution to be taught in all forms of secular media. Though most Christians do not believe in evolution itself, many have accepted millions of years as fact and have compromised God's Word. At the same time, non-Christians are becoming more hostile to the Gospel, being taught that Christianity and religion itself, is unscientific and therefore, untrue.
Because the Bible clearly teaches of a young universe, accepting millions of years and adding them to the Bible will not only damage your faith in Genesis, but ultimately, your ability to trust the rest of the Bible.
The best example of this is none other than Darwin himself. Before his voyage on the H.M.S. Beagle, Darwin was given a copy of the first volume of "Principles of Geology," a book written by the Scottish lawyer and geologist, Charles Lyell. This book was written in an attempt to explain the earths geologic features by now existing processes. This is called "uniformitarianism" which literally means that the present is the key to the past; and because most geologic processes happen very slowly, it is assumed that it took very long periods of time to form now seen geologic features.
Darwin was a Christian and enjoyed studying the evidences for biblical, young-earth creation, but this new idea caused great doubt in his mind. In his autobiography, Darwin writes about his faith during this time,
“I had gradually come by this time, [i.e. 1836 to 1839] to see that the Old Testament was no more to be trusted than the sacred books of the Hindoos or the beliefs of any barbarian.”
We know the rest of the story. Darwin visited the Galapagos Islands and with his newfound ideas of deep time, and he began to apply the principles gradualism to biology; that over long periods of time, observable processes can cause big changes. Later, this eventually became the theory of evolution. Starting with doubt in Genesis, Darwin's faith in God and the Bible continued to deteriorate until he eventually renounced Christ and the Gospel. In 1880, in a reply to a correspondent he writes;
“I am sorry to have to inform you that I do not believe in the Bible as a divine revelation, & therefore not in Jesus Christ as the Son of God.”
Starting with doubt in Genesis, Charles Darwin created a theory that made being an atheist logically possible.
As seen from the example of Darwin's life, this doubt is causing us to lose the next generation, and the faith in the foundation of the Bible, Genesis, has been damaged, and it is in great need of repair!
That is why Foundations Creation Club was created; to repair faith in Genesis, and ultimately Jesus Christ Himself. In this generation, science is given a big name, claiming to be the only way to prove anything, so why not use it for the advancement of God's Kingdom? After all, if God created the heavens and the earth as He said He did, then science and history should have God's fingerprints all over!

Jesus, one of Eve's "seed" (offspring) will "bruise his (Satan's) head", and Satan will bruise His heel. What this verse is saying is that the coming Messiah would conquer Satan and death ("bruise his head"), but in the process he would die ("bruise His heal" Note: Being crucifed, Jesus must have had one of His heals nailed to the cross, which literally means His heal was bruised!). This means that the first recorded promise of the coming Savior is found in Genesis! Not only is this most important promise found in Genesis, but the basis of other important biblical doctrines and beliefs are found in Genesis 1-11!
